For biker scribe Eddie ‘Sorez’ Pliska, poetry is as much about capturing his passion for the moto lifestyle and the raw energy of two-wheeled travel in prose, as it is about documenting determination in the face of the often-harsh struggles of life. He has had his fair share of both.

Here is Sorez's exclusive February piece, titled She Loves Me Truly. With Valentine's Day on the horizon, take the time to appreciate your life's love. But also recognize that appreciation should be year round. One day cannot do your 'love' justice.

Sorez, a contributing writer for Outlaw Biker Magazine who also has a popular book of poetry out, graciously pens some inspiration for the NYC Motorcyclist community each month. You can read more about Sorez in a feature NYC Motorcyclist published in the spring of 2018.

She Loves Me Truly

Always thought that when I got old
I would find myself all alone
Most of my life could not get along
With anyone at all not even myself
A solo seat now upon my ride
It’s been that way for most of my life
My ol’ lady doesn’t ride much anymore
No doubt one, too many close calls
Never complains when I go on my way
On down the road out on the highways
Throws me some coin to fill up the tank
Says she loves me and please don’t die.
