The 2022 NYC Distinguished Gentleman's Ride drew out more than 800 gentlefolk and classic bikes May 22 in aid of prostate cancer research and men's mental health resources, with the 'Big Apple' topping the globe this year by raising just shy of $180K through rider donations and local contributions.
This year's inspired video -- courtesy of filmmaker David Gutierrez and including some scenes shot by LBarrettFilms.Inc, -- covers the panoramic start at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, the ride up the Westside Highway, back down the FDR and across the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges before the group landed in the Meatpacking District for après festivities including live music by Margo Valiante.
Many thanks to all who participated: the riders, the sponsors, volunteers, and organizers for a hugely successful event, the first full ride since 2019 due to COVID-19 concerns.
As always, NYC ride hosts Mike Higgins and Allister Klingensmith put on an experience to be remembered. Relive the day and don't forget to bookmark next year's DGR date: Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Stay dapper folks ...
