The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a wrap for 2021. But thanks to the film skills of Derin Thorpe and some nifty Ural riding navigation by Will Davis of Dapper Tours NYC, we have the incredible day immortalized in a film short. Sunshine and 90F temps greeted the Big Apple's dapper moto set, May 23, for the 10th anniversary of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride -- a global event which raises funds for prostate cancer education & research and men's mental health resources. Ride directors Mike Higgins and Allister Klingensmith opted for a 'Ride Solo' event this year with the city not completely out of COVID-19 health restrictions, but raised the city's game with a Passport format which funneled registered participants to a select group of sponsors -- the Belstaff store in the Meatpacking District, Gotham Depot Moto Garage in Greenpoint, Rockaway Brewing Co in LIC, Caffé Vita locations in LES and Bushwick, and the coup de grace ... an epic Rolling Photo Opp -- sponsored by Proraso and made possible by NYPD Highway Patrol -- at Grand Central Terminal.
