For biker scribe Eddie ‘Sorez’ Pliska, poetry is as much about capturing his passion for the moto lifestyle and the raw energy of two-wheeled travel in prose, as it is about documenting determination in the face of the often-harsh struggles of life. He has had his fair share of both.

Here is Sorez's exclusive February piece, titled Longing for Spring ... Good weather is on the horizon .. keep safe.

Sorez, a contributing writer for Outlaw Biker Magazine who also has a popular book of poetry out, graciously pens some inspiration for the NYC Motorcyclist community each month. You can read more about Sorez in a feature NYC Motorcyclist published in the spring of 2018.

LONGING FOR SPRING

I remember when the skies were clear
And the only thing that was on my mind
Was another day riding in the wind
In the saddle out there upon my bike
Those times now gone seem so far away
Had them once and I will have them again
Ice will melt just like my hardened heart
Twisting throttle, two wheels, open roads
Cabin fever embers left glowing at home
As the love of my life awaits my arrival
Highways cleared and salt washed away
Caught some miles as it was forty degrees
